LED technology is changing the way we light our homes, and we're moving away from energy-guzzling halogen bulbs. This High Power GU10 LED version has a higher light output than a 50 watt halogen bulb, and spreads the light over a 60° angle.
Its lighting characteristics are very similar to those of a halogen bulb, but with an even greater depth of field and around 30% more light output. However, we recommend using this bulb for very specific applications. In our opinion, there are two types of recommended application. For lighting a room where the ceiling is more than 2.5 m high, or for highlighting a product where all the light power is directed at the object to be highlighted.
Avoid being directly exposed to the luminous flux in your eyes by opting for better adapted lamps. Ceiling-mounted spotlights often tend to diffuse light at a very open angle, generally resulting in uncomfortable glare,
A simple gesture such as placing your hand over your eyes, like a cap visor, quickly shows the impact of this direct luminous flux and the discomfort it can cause.
Rethink your lighting and choose lamps with a narrow beam angle. By following this approach, the light will be projected mainly onto the floor, acting as a large reflector that redirects the light towards the ceiling, creating a balanced, overall luminous flux. It therefore makes sense to favour indirect lighting for optimum visual comfort.
