This M10 threaded rod with a 1mm pitch in 304 L stainless steel is used in lighting. It is hollow to allow electrical cables to pass through - 1 metre long.
They are often used for assembling mechanical parts in damp environments and the internal drilling allows electrical cables to pass through.
